  • DIGMAN WELL NO. 1 "DISCOVERY WELL"
    Popular interest in Turner Valley's gas reserves was evident as early as 1911 when the City of Calgary attempted to stake a claim to subsurface gas and petroleum.
  • DR. MAHOOD HOUSE
    This house was built in 1915 for C. Stanley Mahood.
  • DUBUC PARK
    Judge Lucien Dubuc, who was passionately interested in gardening, created this small public park on the crest of the river valley, overlooking Victoria Park and the Golf Links, in 1934.
  • E.C. MCDONALD DRUG STORE
    The E.C. McDonald drug Store building was constructed prior to 1920, when the business was bought by Alf Barbour, better known as Doc Barbour, who lived in the leanto at the back of the building.
  • EATON'S (HOLT RENFREW)
    In 1927, the T. Eaton Company bought two city blocks at the western edge of the downtown core and proceeded to build a major department store.
  • EATON’S STORE
    On August 29, 1939, T. Eaton Co. opened what was referred to as its million dollar store.
  • EATON’S WAREHOUSE
    Eaton’s Warehouse was designed by the prominent Edmonton architects Magoon and MacDonald in 1929 as a western centre for Eaton’s catalogue sales.
  • EDMONTON AUTO SPRING WORKS
    The Edmonton Auto Spring Works is first listed in the City Directory in 1924. It is probable that this building was constructed in that year.
  • FLEXFORD HOUSE
    The precise date of construction of this modest brick and sandstone apartment house is unknown, although it first appeared in the Henderson's Directory in 1915.
  • FRASER-MACDONALD AGENCY
    Constructed in 1920 to house the offices of the Fraser-Macdonald Agency, the exterior appearance of this small brick building remains much the same as when it first opened.
