  • BLYTH HALL
    Blyth Hall is a combination of two structures and several additions.
  • BOW ON TONG BUILDING, 1919
    The Bow On Tong building was constructed in 1919 and opened as a Chinese pharmacy or herbalist shop in 1926 by Way Leong (1879-1967).
  • BOWKER BUILDING
    Though it matches the Legislature Building in style, the Bowker Building was actually constructed in 1931, almost twenty years later, and just one year after the Art Deco Federal Public Building was designed.
  • BRAZZONI BUILDING
    This building is an interesting example of later boomtown front commercial architecture.
  • BRICK ROW HOUSES
    This seven-unit block of row houses was likely built in 1922, and first occupied in 1923. The initial residents included a teacher from the nearby Oliver School, as well as several salesmen, a clerk, and a real estate agent.
  • CALGARY COURTHOUSE #2
    This was the second courthouse built in Calgary; the first had been built on the same block in 1886 by the Federal government.
  • CALGARY LEGION HALL #1
    In 1915, returning soldiers world-wide began to band together, forming the Great War Veteran’s Association.
  • CAMERON SCHOOL
    This school was built to house Coleman's primary grades in 1919.
  • CANADA CONSOLIDATED RUBBER BUILDING
    David Kerr of Victoria, B.C. built a brick warehouse on this location in 1912. It was designed by Edmonton architect Roland Lines, cost $55,000 to erect, and burned to the ground in January, 1913.
  • CANADIAN BANK OF COMMERCE
    Traditionally, banks were built in classical styles of architecture which implied stability, security and permanence.
