NORTH HILL STORE When the North Hill store was built in c. 1943 by Philip Seibel, it was surrounded by fields at the top of the hill.
ODDFELLOWS HALL This hall was erected in 1922 by Fred Wolstenholme for the Independent Order of Oddfellows.
OLD RED DEER COURT HOUSE The Red Deer Court House was officially opened on March 6, 1931. Visually an impressive building, it was the last in Alberta to be designed with classically inspired details.
O'BRYANT/METCALF RESIDENCE This solid looking one and a half storey house sits on property purchased by G.H. Bawtinheimer and G.W. Greene in June 1913 for speculation.
PEMBINA HALL In 1912, the university’s Board of Governors persuaded the government to permit it to hire an architect to act both as professor of architecture and to implement Nobbs and Darling’s campus plan.
POLLOCK RESIDENCE The Pollock residence is representative of a domestic design that made its way into Eastern Canada from the Northeastern United States in the latter part of the nineteenth century.
POWER PLANT The east section of this building was constructed in 1915 as the university’s central power plant and is distinguished by its high quality brick work.
PRINCE OF WALES ARMOURY This large castle-like building with its image of permanence and strength was typical of military establishments of the period.
