The Union Bank of Canada was one of western Canada's largest financial institutions when, in 1910, it opened this branch in Lacombe. - UNION HOTEL

After Fort Edmonton was established in 1795, Natives camped here while trading furs. In 1913, the City of Edmonton paid the Hudson’s Bay Company $310,000 for 155 acres in the river valley, including this area. - VICTORIA PARK CEMETERY
