  • 41 MEAT MARKET, 1910
    This two-storey brick and sandstone building was originally built for Swift Canadian Meats during Fort Macleod's boom period.

    The A. Young Drugstore was the first brick commercial block on Fort Macleod's main street.

    The house is an imposing two-and-one-half storey brick structure, which occupies three-and-one-half lots and displays a large lawn and garden beautifully landscaped with trees and shrubs.

    The Anderton Block was completed in 1909 by the prominent local contractor James S. Lambert.

  • CAMPBELL HOUSE, 1903
    Duncan John Campbell was born in St. Hilaire, Quebec in 1855. He remained in Eastern Canada until 1882 when a request by Lieutenant Colonel Irvine, Commissioner of the North West Mounted Police, brought him to Fort Macleod.
  • CANADIAN IMPERIAL BANK OF COMMERCE, 1910
    The Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce has played an important role in Fort Macleod both historically and financially.
  • CHINESE LAUNDRY, 1895
    The Chinese Laundry is located in an area which was once the core of Fort Macleod's Chinatown.
  • CHRIST CHURCH ANGLICAN, 1886
    The first Anglican Church built in Fort Macleod was completed in 1885 on the present site. However, shortly afterwards it burned to the ground.
  • COURT HOUSE, 1902
    The Town Office building was built by Patrick Navin, a contractor from Cranbrook, from the designs of David Ewart, Chief Architect for the Federal Department of Public Works.
