  • CALGARY MILLING COMPANY
    The land was first owned by George Jacques, but was purchased from him in 1901 by the Calgary Milling Company, which built this as their retail outlet.
  • CALGARY PUBLIC BUILDING
    The Calgary Public Building was opened by Prime Minister R.B. Bennett on August 21, 1931.
  • CAMERON SCHOOL
    This school was built to house Coleman's primary grades in 1919.
  • CAMPBELL HOUSE, 1903
    Duncan John Campbell was born in St. Hilaire, Quebec in 1855. He remained in Eastern Canada until 1882 when a request by Lieutenant Colonel Irvine, Commissioner of the North West Mounted Police, brought him to Fort Macleod.
  • CANADA CONSOLIDATED RUBBER BUILDING
    David Kerr of Victoria, B.C. built a brick warehouse on this location in 1912. It was designed by Edmonton architect Roland Lines, cost $55,000 to erect, and burned to the ground in January, 1913.
  • CANADA LIFE ASSURANCE BUILDING
    This early skyscraper was the product of the development boom that peaked in 1912 and collapsed in 1913.
  • CANADA PERMANENT BUILDING
    Roland Lines was the architect who designed this sophisticated little building. Comparison with the Union Bank building reveals the same masterful handling of classical elements.
  • CANADIAN BANK OF COMMERCE
    Traditionally, banks were built in classical styles of architecture which implied stability, security and permanence.
  • CANADIAN BANK OF COMMERCE (CALGARY)
    The Canadian Bank of Commerce had a temporary branch in Inglewood as early as 1909.
  • CANADIAN BANK OF COMMERCE (MEDICINE HAT)
    The Canadian Bank of Commerce opened its first branch in Medicine Hat in July 1902.
