Chickadee Creek

The name for this creek was mentioned as early as 1912 by J.S. Galletly, DLS, and likely refers to the abundance of the bird in the area. It could either be the black-capped or boreal chickadee, both of which have extensive ranges in the boreal and plains areas of Canada.

Flows south-east into Athabasca River approximately 17 km west north-west of Whitecourt.
