Cheecham Lake

Originally named "Georges Lake"; the name was changed in 1992 to reflect common local usage. The popular usage indicates that most of the people who live in the area call the lake Cheecham after the Cheecham family who lived on the southwest side of the lake. (see also Leo's Creek)

Approximately 60 km south-east of Fort McMurray.
