Queen Elizabeth Provincial Park, Lac Cardinal

Category : Provincial

This park was formerly Lac Cardinal Provincial Park when it was established in 1977. When it became known that Queen Elizabeth would visit the area in 1978 it was decided that a park would make an ideal gathering place for the people of the area. It was decided to change the name of the park to honour the Queen as well, so the name was changed to Queen Elizabeth Park, Lac Cardinal. (see also Cardinal Lake)
