 William Case, Pioneer Methodist Missionary. 
[ca. 1850-1853] 

William Case was the teacher of Reverend George McDougall and a benefactor of Henry Steinhauer. Born in 1780 in Swansea, Massachusets. Entered the ministry and stationed at Bay of Quinte, then Detroit. Presiding elder of Methodist church in Canada and northwestern New York, 1810-1827. In 1828 became superintendent of First Nations schools and missions in Upper Canada. In charge of Wesleyan industrial school for First Nations people at Alnwick, 1837-1851. Died at Alnwick October 19, 1855.
