Rocky Mountain House Museum

The Rocky Mountain House Museum is located on Highway 11 North in Rocky Mountain House. There are over 4,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor exhibits, including Meadows Forestry Cabin, a Holyroyd Steam Tractor, Glacier School, a replica Forestry Tower, and a sheltered tool and implement collection.

There are numerous special activities that are offered, including Player Piano interactive demonstrations, and recreations of pioneer lifestyles and activities. Pre-booked Educational tours - 2 weeks notice.

Visitors to the museum are encouraged to browse Gramma Gertie’s Giftshop.

New museum exhibits and murals, plus photo opportunities for a low cost at the Glacier school, Canoe exhibit, or within any of the displays.

Hours and Admission:
Summer (Victoria Day weekend – Labour Day weekend)
Monday– Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Saturday, Sunday, holidays, 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Winter (Labour Day weekend– Victoria Day weekend)
Monday– Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Admission Cost
$5.00 each for 18 years and older,
$3.00 each for Children 7 - 17 years,
Free – children 6 years and younger
- must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult. All ages welcome!
