Lake Geneva

Category : Locality

The post office operated here from April 1910 through July 1937 and was likely named after Geneva, Switzerland. Two early settlers, A. Golish and Gus Christenson, suggested this name ("after a famous lake") to settle a disagreement at a meeting to find a name for the school district. The name was officially rescinded 14 January 1970.

Approximately 27 km north-west of Vermilion.
