Granlea

The name Granlea is a combination of the words "grain" and "lea," suggesting the rich agricultural value of the region. "Grain" refers to the wheat grown in the area, and "lea" refers to the large tracts of pastureland used by cattle ranchers. The post office in Granlea opened 1 August 1928 and was closed in April 1962.

Approximately 55 km south-west of Medicine Hat.
