Glenmore Reservoir

The name was officially approved 3 March 1960. The reservoir was created when the Glenmore Dam was built (1930-31) to regulate the flow of the Elbow River, and to provide a water supply to the city of Calgary. Prior to this construction, floods were quite prevalent.

Located within the city limits of Calgary.
