Baraca
Category : Locality | |
The name was suggested by Mrs. E.E. Boggess, a Lutheran preacher, and is derived from the Biblical word Berachah (Barach) meaning "blessing" or "the blessed." The post office was located at 36-26-12 and was known as "Wharranton," after postmaster Forest Wharran. It was renamed in 1913 when it was moved to its present location. |
