Coal Coulee

During the late 1800s local ranchers were able to obtain coal from the open seams exposed along the coulee. A number of mines were located in the coulee later on. The "Coal Trail" ran from this coulee, through Longview, to High River.

Runs north-east into Highwood River, approximately 60 km south of Calgary.
